The InfraFund, an IADB fund, is dedicated to assisting public, private and mixed-capital entities in the LAC region in the identification, development and preparation of bankable and sustainable infrastructure projects, including pre-feasibility, feasibility, and viability studies. It also aims to promote the formation of PPPs to increase the provision of infrastructure.
SECCI aims to mobilise IADB resources to increase clean energy investments, provide comprehensive sustainability options, and reduce vulnerability to climate change in the LAC region. Funds will be allocated to country level assessments, policy framework analysis and assistance for policy reforms, project identification, preparation and capacity building.
The PSP Fund's objective is to promote the development of concessions and PPP projects in Brazil by financing project preparation. The IADB fund will finance project selection, feasibility studies, and project structuring, so that the projects can be offered to the private sector for investment.

Technical assistance provided may be in the form of pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, viability assessments, project design, documentation preparation, and social and environmental impact evaluations.
The MIF aims to expand and embed the PPP concept in Latin America and the Caribbean at both the national and sub-national levels to help countries bring PPP projects to market with greater transparency and effectiveness. The fund can finance project preparation and construction activities.
The Fund is an IADB-led climate finance facility aimed at fast-tracking bankable and sustainable projects that move the LAC region closer to realising the targets of the 2015 Paris climate conference. It will provide grant support to cover the added costs of embedding climate and sustainability considerations in upstream project preparation, and design and enable IADB project teams and country-level counterparts to build in planning for low carbon growth, climate resilience and sustainability early in the project cycle.
The Fund finances non-reimbursable technical cooperation operations to support IADB borrowing member countries to manage risks related to natural hazards. This includes technical cooperation activities such as preparation of projects related to disaster prevention, land use planning, strengthening institutions and capacity building.
The specific objective of ESCI is to support (over a four-year period) at least 26 emerging cities in the region, one per country, in identifying, prioritising, and providing initial financing for the sectors and actions that will lead them to achieve sustainable development. Funds will be used for baseline studies to support project design, consulting services, and pre-feasibility studies.
The Fund will finance activities that focus on improving agricultural productivity and natural resources management as a means of enhancing food security and reducing poverty. The fund will finance project design and studies, review of national strategies and policies, training and knowledge events, and demonstration and pilot projects.
The general objective of the program is to create opportunities and utilise the comparative advantage of the region in biodiversity and ecosystems services for sustainable and inclusive development in LAC. It will support the development of a sound enabling environment, strengthen environmental governance, and promote private sector investment opportunities that foster innovation in environmental protection.
The Technical Cooperation Program aims to finance studies, support actions and other initiatives that facilitate the development and implementation of operations to support the integration of member countries to achieve harmonious and inclusive development. It can finance all project development activities, including identification, negotiation and approval, execution and evaluation.
FONPLATA finances the execution of studies, projects, programs and works tending to promote the harmonic development and physical integration of the River Plate Basin and its area of influence. The projects and works financed by FONPLATA must contribute effectively to the development of its member countries, presenting technical-economic solidity, financial security, an adequate institutional framework, social justification and unequivocal care of the environment.
This initiative seeks to bring the human right of universal access to water and sanitation to fruition and exceed the Millennium Development Goals (now SDGs), focussing on funding on peri-urban and rural areas, where poverty levels tend to be higher. The fund will provide resources to strengthen the enabling environment, for pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, and concept design and project structuring.
