OECD public procurement performance indicators

Measuring performance is the first step in understanding the strengths and weaknesses of any system and take corrective actions. In order to help the implementation of evidence-based public procurement policies and support required reforms, the OECD developed indicators to measure the performance of public procurement systems.

These indicators are

  1. Efficiency of procurement process;
  2. Openness and transparency of the procurement process;
  3. Professionalism of the procurement workforce; and
  4. Contract management and supplier performance.
