G20 finance ministers and central bank governors developed a set of leading practices to promote and prioritize quality infrastructure investment. The purpose of this is to assist governments to put in place the conditions and frameworks required to encourage private sector involvement in infrastructure delivery, where private sector involvement can contribute in achieving highest value for money for taxpayers. These practices will help governments in project identification and prioritization, project preparation, project procurement and decision making.
