The United States is a strong performer in policy with key strengths in public governance, regulation, taxation and certain permits such as for the construction industry. The USA has high perceived quality of infrastructure and above average processes and regulation to attract private investment.

The infrastructure gap around the world remains wide and is, in many places, widening. However, some governments are closing this gap.
