This work was completed as part of the GI Hub's Country Engagement Program with Brazil.
The GI Hub led a series of workshops that explored the potential integration of the SOURCE platform and hosted capacity building workshops based on GI Hub’s tools that could strengthen the capacity of Brazilian project developers by providing project preparation support, infrastructure intelligence and a pipeline of well-prepared projects.
The SOURCE platform is created and funded by multilateral development banks and can provide a comprehensive map of considerations for developing quality infrastructure, including governance, technical, economic, legal, financial, environmental and social issues determined from internationally recognised knowledge products.
Following the SOURCE inception workshop, the GI Hub coordinated with various government agencies to facilitate SOURCE’s completion of a needs assessment, including a review of existing IT tools and identification of gaps and specific needs for potential future integration.
The focus of this initiative was to fund and facilitate the potential integration of SOURCE, support capacity building in project preparation and implementation through workshops on existing GI Hub tools and initiatives.
