The GI Hub staff met with counterparts from organisations such as the Ministry of Finance of China, China PPP Center, Reform and Development Bureau of XiongAn, Development and Reform Commission of Shenzhen, and Economic, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen.
On 22 July, at their meeting in Buenos Aries, the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors voted to renew the mandate of the Global Infrastructure Hub for another four years.

On 5 December 2018, a delegation of 15 staff, including senior level officials from China Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Fund under the Ministry of Finance, and officials from ten provincial finance departments visited the Global Infrastructure Hub (GI Hub) in Sydney to learn more about the organisation’s mandate, mission, tools and products.
On 22 November 2018, the Global Infrastructure Hub (GI Hub) and the China Public Private Partnerships Centre (CPPPC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish and strengthen the collaborative partnership between the organisations.
The third Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) was held in Mumbai on 25-26 June 2018, and the Global Infrastructure Hub was asked to join one of the panels organised by India, as the host nation.
