The GI Hub convenes expert engagement groups to share perspectives, advise, and collaborate on issues that have global impacts. Leading experts from the public and private sectors and academia participate in these groups to help drive change and reforms, advance best practice, and foster public-private sector collaboration. Although participation in these groups is by invitation, we encourage individuals and organisations who are interested in getting involved to contact us.
Founded in December 2022, the Private Sector Advisory Council tackles the question: ‘How do we increase private sector participation in sustainable infrastructure?’ The Council is a key bridge between the GI Hub and the private sector. It provides feedback and advances ideas to the G20 Finance Track on how to scale private investment to close the infrastructure investment gap.
The group comprises some of the world’s largest and most experienced infrastructure investors and solutions providers, including Acciona, BlackRock, CDPQ Global, GIC Infrastructure, IFM Investors, Jacobs, JP Morgan, and Meridiam.
Chaired by GI Hub CEO Marie-Lam Frendo, PSAC organisations are represented by their Head of Infrastructure (or equivalent) and represent over USD15 trillion in assets under management. Collectively, they are active across all G20 countries.
Thierry Déau is Chairman and CEO of Meridiam. Managing more than USD19 billion of assets, the firm has to date more than 100 projects under development, in construction, or in operation.

The Infrastructure Regulations Advisory Council (IRAC) is composed of members from leading commercial banks that are financing infrastructure worldwide. This diverse group is dedicated to examining the conduciveness of regulatory frameworks for infrastructure investments and recommending prudent reforms to address the regulatory roadblocks. The IRAC is actively working to advance the GI Hub’s mission to close infrastructure investment deficits that curtail the achievement of sustainable development and climate goals, while maintaining financial stability.
IRAC is currently providing valuable insights and recommendations concerning the international regulatory framework for banks, the Basel III framework, given the leading role played by banks in providing affordable financing in developing economies. The council works to represent the interests of the wider infrastructure ecosystem and inform the GI Hub’s work on this topic to help create a prudent but conducive treatment of infrastructure as an asset class in regulations.
